From storytelling and cultural exploration to sensory science and Father’s Day preparations, this week was packed with learning across every age group. Here’s what our Baby Dragons, Blue Dragons, and Dragon Flights got up to!
Modern Languages & Communication
Baby Dragons: Learned Mandarin words for insects like butterfly (蝴蝶 Húdié) and ant (蚂蚁 mǎyǐ) during reading time with Teacher Sara. They also explored the book My Dad and sang songs like I Love You, Dad and Slippery Fish to encourage early speech.
Blue Dragons: Dived into Swan Lake through Mandarin, learned the word for swan (天鹅 Tiān'é), and designed unique swan crafts.
Dragon Flights: Practiced writing initials of their dads’ names and began storytelling with the phrase “Once upon a time...”
Regional & Cultural Education
Baby Dragons: Created sensory-rich activities around World Ocean Day, crafted Father’s Day cards with blue, black, and white paint, and were introduced to Russian culture by crafting tissue paper flags and coloring tigers.
Blue Dragons: Celebrated Eid through henna hand painting and explored Slavic textile patterns with paint-filled pom-poms.
Dragon Flights: Learned about Polish castles, celebrated St. John’s Night with real flower crowns, and explored Swan Lake’s story and music.
STEAM & Sensory Play

Dragon Flights: Took part in calming yoga and breathing exercises that focused on self-awareness and regulation.
Active Play & Sports
