What we did this week

This week our children continued to explore Autumn, its characteristics and natural changes like weather.

Before we begin...

This is a quick reminder that our annual fee increase will be implemented in the coming month. We issued a notification about this on the 20th September but have drafted an update in the blog in more detail here. You can access your new rate card here and we'd like to remind you about the various subsidies and discounts that we provide. Do book a call with Kristina and the team to talk through should you need.

We were enjoying possibly the last rays of sunshine this week so we had lots of fun playing in our big garden testing and challenging ourselves.

Our babies looked into the variety of weather we have been experiencing the last few days, children enjoyed exploring it through books, flashcards, and stories or songs.

Children also extended their learning about Autumn and we had lots of fun on our little scavenger hunt by the pond finding the treasures of Autumn.

Conkers by the pond and colourful leaves

As we are learning to recognise the characteristics of Autumn, we went on an adventure to find some conkers.

Children had lots of fun on our little scavenger hunt, finding not just conkers on the floor but also learning about where they come from, how the tree looks and how to take them out of their spikey shell.

On the way, we saw some rosehips and other berries on the trees for birds to eat. Children also found lots of colourful leaves and sticks and collected them for their artworks fo the next week.

It was a beautiful sunny afternoon, so we could admire the beauty of the autumn colours and the sound of them crunching leaves under our feet.

Architecture of the Middle East

Children in preschool continued to learn about the middle eastern culture, specifically focusing on architecture of the middle East and how people live in the desert or in big cities.

Children used a variety of resources and activities to explore the different traditional architecture and buildings.

Our little architect constructed beautiful structures!

Arabic alphabet

Our preschoolers explored one of the oldest languages in the world, Arabic.

Children focused on sounds of the letters in alphabet and enjoy early mark making activity, writing in Arabic and sounding the symbols was lots of fun.

Children sounded the sound as one of our teacher was instructing and they learned interesting fact that Arabic is read and written from right to left.
