This week in Hatching Dragons City is jam-packed with fun, creativity, and learning!
Our dragons explored new activities, from hands-on art projects to interactive story times, that sparked their imaginations.
Outdoors, they enjoyed plenty of fresh air and games that encouraged teamwork and movement, while indoors, they practiced new skills that filled the room with excitement and pride.
Come and take a look at their incredible week below!
Trip to the Millennium Bridge and Tate Modern
This week, the children had an amazing excursion to the Millennium Bridge and Tate Modern, where they experienced art and creativity in a whole new way.
As they walked across the iconic bridge, the children were thrilled by the views of the city and the river below.
At the Tate Modern, they took part in a brilliant interactive activity, using online screens to explore famous artworks in a fun and engaging way.
They created their own digital masterpieces, learning about colors, shapes, and emotions in art.
It was a truly inspiring trip, bringing art to life and encouraging the children to express their creativity with confidence and curiosity.
Hatchlings
This week, our babies enjoyed a gentle and soothing mindfulness session with Molly, where they explored the magic of sensory lights.
The soft, colorful lights created a calming atmosphere that our babies reveled in.
They were curious about the many radiating lights, intently observing how it interacts with the environment they were in.
Blue Dragons
Exploring South America
The Blue Dragons class buzzed with excitement as they dove into a painting activity designed to help them explore and learn about South America.
And they were eager to learn about this vibrant continent!
The teachers introduced South America by showing colorful images of famous landmarks like the Amazon Rainforest and the Andes Mountains.
The Blue Dragons’ classroom soon transformed into a mini-gallery of South America, where each painting reflects the children’s curiosity, creativity, and new knowledge about the continent.
Through this activity, they did not only learn about geography and nature but also developed a sense of appreciation for the beauty and diversity of South America.
Our partnership with Little Village
As an early years education and childcare institution, we put great value on helping children in need.
This is why we partnered with Little Village, an organization that helps babies and young children living in poverty all across London.

Dragon Flight
Celebrating Remembrance Day
This week, the Dragon Flight class has spent time learning about Remembrance Day, discovering its significance in honoring those who have served in wars and fought for peace.
They explored stories of bravery, sacrifice, and the importance of remembrance.
The Dragon Flight class also embarked on an exciting exploration of South America's rainforests, immersing themselves in the vibrant ecosystems and diverse wildlife found there.
As part of their learning journey, the children engaged in an animal matching activity where they matched images of rainforest animals to their names and habitats.
Through this hands-on activity, the Dragon Flight class gained a deeper appreciation for the richness of South America's rainforests and the fascinating animals that call it home.
What we're doing next week
Regional focus
Next week, the regional focus in nursery will continue with the exciting South American theme, diving even deeper into the rich cultures, landscapes, and wildlife of the continent.
The children will explore different countries within South America, learning about their unique traditions, foods, and famous landmarks.
