30 Hours Free Childcare in London: 2026 Eligibility, Costs and What's Changed

As of September 2025, working parents in England can get 30 hours of government-funded childcare per week, for 38 weeks a year, for any child aged 9 months up to school age — not just 3- and 4-year-olds. All 3- and 4-year-olds also get a separate universal 15-hour entitlement regardless of income. Eligibility depends on both parents working and earning under £100,000 a year each.
