Please remember to close the gate securely behind you when entering or leaving the premises. For safety reasons, kindly ensure you do not let others in; if someone needs access, they should use the buzzer. This helps us keep all our children safe.
This week has been full of excitement and learning for our little ones! We explored new activities that encouraged creativity, communication, and teamwork, supporting the children's confidence in self-expression.
The children learned Makaton signs for "home" and "drink," helping them communicate their needs more effectively.
We had wonderful visits to Causton Sand Park and St George Park, where the children engaged in parachute and tunnel games. These activities helped them develop gross motor skills, balance, and teamwork.
The children explored mark-making in the sand tray with printed blocks, helping develop their early writing and fine motor skills. Parents can extend this learning by providing opportunities for mark-making at home using finger paints, chalk, or sand trays.
We introduced the children to zodiac animals through books and toy animals, making learning interactive and engaging. We also read a book about Chinese New Year, introducing them to traditions and celebrations.

This week, we focused on songs, crafts, and role-play activities that engaged the children in interactive learning.
The children enjoyed learning new songs and incorporating Makaton into their singing, which helped improve their focus and language development.
We read books about goats and made our own goats using paper cups. We also read a story about a trip to the dentist and role-played brushing teeth with paper toothbrushes. These activities reinforced hygiene and self-care habits. Parents can continue this at home by reading books about daily routines and encouraging role-play with stuffed animals.
We introduced Mozart’s “Die Vögelfänger Bin Ich Ja” from The Magic Flute, helping the children engage with classical music through rhythm patterns.
Children practiced using plastic knives to cut fruit for a fruit salad with yogurt, building independence and motor skills.
Tuesday’s session was full of enthusiasm! The children followed instructions beautifully, enhancing their physical coordination.
This week, our preschoolers engaged in a variety of enriching activities, blending literacy, math, culture, and physical development.
We read The Runaway Iceberg (逃跑的冰山) in both Mandarin and English, expanding the children’s vocabulary. They practiced recognizing and tracing the letters 'a' and 'b' using Jolly Phonics songs. Parents can support phonics at home by pointing out letters in books and singing phonics songs together.
The children explored 2D shapes by identifying circles and squares in Chinese coins and sorting objects by colour.
We celebrated Chinese New Year by learning traditional songs such as 新年好 (Happy New Year) and 恭喜恭喜 (Congratulations). The children painted red dragons and discovered that fortune cookies are not a Chinese tradition! Parents can extend this learning by making simple paper dragon crafts and discussing different cultures.

We focused on brushing teeth after meals, reinforcing the importance of oral care. Parents can support this by setting a toothbrushing routine at home and letting their child practice independence.
