Twickenham Nursery: Ages & Stages
Our Twickenham nursery will primarily service the needs of local families with children aged 2-5, so will function more as a pre-school. We will have a strong focus on educational development in all core areas of the EYFS, for school readiness (should you choose to go on to GEMS Academy Primary Twickenham or elsewhere), and to ensure that we continue to nurture the Mandarin language acquisition and intercultural awareness we now know to deliver huge impact for our children. But don’t take our word for it. Read Islington’s report on our practice in the Barbican and why Ofsted rated us Good and why its proof positive that our Twickenham Nursery will deliver more of the same…
Hours of Opening
Hatching Dragons’ Twickenham Nursery will provide full day care , which means we try to be there to support the working hours of the parents in our local community and are in the process of registering for our provision to open from 8am and to close at 6:30pm, 52 weeks a year (excluding bank holidays and Christmas!).
Working In Partnership With Primary
Located just off the cusp of Twickenham Green, our Twickenham nursery and pre-school will be within the grounds of GEMS Primary Academy Twickenham, giving us an unique opportunity to use the exceptional facilities of a purpose built educational campus and build natural relationships with the primary school to help children maintain and continue their mandarin after they leave us. It’s hugely exciting for us all. For more information on fees, food and the fun we have, please view our brochure.
After School Clubs
But given the unique nature of our location, housed, as we are, in the grounds of a primary School, we’ll also hope to provide wrap around care arrangements and after school clubs for children from the primary school (up to the age of 8) until the end of our working day (630pm). As an educational group registered on both the Early Years and Childcare Registers, Hatching Dragons Twickenham Nursery can provide care for older children as well. Please get in touch to find out more.
And what better way to spend, well, at least some of your holidays than in an immersive Mandarin holiday camp. For many parents, the school holidays don’t always work against their own work holiday arrangements and so are left constantly trying to figure out care arrangements for the times they just cannot be with the children. Being located in a primary school, we will be able to care for children over the summer and give them that exposure to one of the world’s most important languages and most interesting cultures. Please get in touch to find out more!
"It's a happy, engaging, exciting environment for children to learn in, and the staff use their imagination to make sure the activities are varied and take inspiration from the cultural events of the day."
"My boy has been here since September 2015 and we are very happy with then nursery. Staff are lovely and always very helpful. His Mandarin is improving beautifully."
"We feel that they are not only taking care of our child but also showing a real interest in her development and well-being. They have a well planned set of activities each month and they surprise us with new and creative ones every day. They find a way to make the educational activities fun for the kids."
"After looking at many different nurseries around London we have decided to go with Hatching Dragons. The team made us feel welcome and the children in their care were happy and engaging."
"My husband and I have been very happy with the extent our daughter has progressed since joining Hatching Dragons. The staff is excellent and the care provided is exceptional."
Our nurseries regularly host free community events and outreach programmes for local families to come and join the fun to see what the children have been getting up to. From Chinese New Year to Halloween and regular shadow puppetry and mandarin music playgroups, there’s something for everyone. Please see our event page to browse events and make a booking.
